The "BRITISH RACING GREEN DAY" project - established in 2001, being called the "JAGUAR BRITISH RACING GREEN DAY" until 2004, during 2005-2008 named "HSBC BRITISH RACING GREEN DAY" and since 2009 having been renamed "LBBW BANK RACING DAY- BRITISH RACING DAY", which takes place periodically at the horse race court Velká Chuchle Praha, is celebrating its 8th anniversary this year. Each English styled racing day has been provided by companies Agentura Helas s.r.o. and TMM, s.r.o. The traditional sponsor of this event is The British Chamber of Commerce. For the year 2009, the honourable guest and sponsor has become the ambassadoress of Great Britain in the Czech Republic, Her Excellency Mrs. Linda Duffield. The event is organised under the sponsorship of The British Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic.

Within the framework of the racing day, where several thousands of guests are present, the meeting of a high number of V.I.P. top managers from British, Czech and other foreign companies is arranged in the premises of the V.I.P. grandstand. An interesting programme is prepared for ladies and gentlemen to make the atmosphere enjoyable. The aim of this undertaking is to contribute to the mutual approaching and intensification of business and friendly contacts between various business subjects and at the same time to inform the broad public about activities of the participating – partner companies.

The history of the principal Czech horse race court Velká Chuchle started nearly one hundred years ago. The court was inaugurated on September 28th, 1906. Its opening became an important event in the life of Prague during that time. The first racer ever to win at the Chuchle race court was a mare named Vision with her owner František Bartosch, a veterinary surgeon, in the saddle. May 22nd 1921 became and important date in the Czechoslovak turf. On that day the first Czechoslovak derby was started. At the race court in Velká Chuchle the races have been organized practically without interruption, even during the war. Despite many problems this tradition continued after 1989 as well. The races belong inseparably to the life of the capital providing to the inhabitants of Prague not only the opportunity of relaxation and entertainment, but they also represent an important opportunity for presentation. Thanks to numerous audiences, promotion dedicated to horse races and last but not least the interest of TV viewers, it addresses efficiently both people from Prague and from the rest of the country.

The provider of the races is Helas Agency s.r.o. in cooperation with TMM s.r.o. company. There is around 1500-3000 guests present during the Sunday races. In the frame of the racing day it is possible to organize a meeting of cca 100-300 guests in the enlarged premises of V.I.P. grandstand. This concerns the premises of the 4th floor, where the V.I.P. restaurant, V.I.P. betting shop, two saloons, promenade and a panoramatic terrace with a beautiful view over the whole race court are located. An interesting programme is prepared for ladies and gentlemen to make the atmosphere more enjoyable. The aim of these undertakings is to contribute to the mutual approaching and intensification of business and friendly contacts between various business subjects and at the same time to inform the broad public about activities of the participating – partner companies.

Each racing day consists of 8 races called by the name of the partner of the race/name of the company. In order to become the race’s partner, it is necessary to meet the business conditions connected with a concrete racing day.
